Version 2.0.4

4/29/2002

Enhancements

- Added a drop-down menu to the Info button in the main toolbar.  This allows you to copy the error info to the clipboard or to clear the error information and indicator.

- Added the ability to open all items in a Favorites folder.  In Favorites, right-click on a folder and you can select Load All Items in New Web Panels.  This is a quick way to open a group of Favorites.

- Added a cancel option to both Open all Saved URLs and the new Load All Favorites Items in a Sub-Folder.  When using either one of these features, a small dialog box will open showing the current panel being opened, the total number of panels to open and a cancel button.

- Added the ability to right-click on a Favorites Item and load it.

- Added a check for Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 that prompts the user to upgrade to IE6.0.  PQBrowser will crash with IE5.5 during rapid navigation.  While the user can control their own navigation, certain pages with multiple frames cannot be controlled by the user.  If you experience crashes and are running IE5.5, upgrading to IE6 will fix the problem.

- Changed the URL Address text box to a drop-down box containing up to the last 25 URLs that were typed.

- Drastically Improved the efficiency of the download algorithm used in the Mark Images for Download mode.

Fixes

- In general, this is a much more stable version.  Several small issues have been fixed that are not listed here.

- Cut/Paste/copy in web page textboxes now function again (woops).

- Forward and Back buttons function when exiting a Slideshow.

- Autocomplete Now works for forms

- Fixed some JavaScript links that would not navigate correctly.

- Fixed several problems and issues with the Web Panel Scroll bar either not having the scroll bar turned on when it should, or having it turned off when it needed to be on.

- Fixed download errors when using the Image Download function of Mark Images for Download, or, when downloading patches and updates.  Previously you may have received errors at the end of large files.

- Fixed another Web Panel Scroll Bar issue when exiting the Slideshow mode.

- Added tool tips with the Document Name to the Web Panels.  Hold the mouse still for a few seconds over a Web Panel and the tool tip will display with the loaded Document Title.

- Fixed View Source Find options not being available if IE5.5 or above is being used.

- Fixed problem that left PQBrowser in Download Image Mode after the marked images had been downloaded.

- Fixed focus issue that caused PQBrowser to come to the foreground if it was not in the foreground and a loaded web page refreshed itself.

- Adjusted the timing of the Slideshow button - it was being made available before the underlying structures were ready to show a slideshow.

- Adjusted the timing of the URL address textbox so that it does not overwrite your typing if you start to type before the page has finished loading.

Known Issues

- None at the moment!

Version 2.0.3

3/3/2002

Enhancements

- Added a Close button (small button with a little X in it) in the top-right corner of the Web Panel Previews to allow easier closing of Web Panels.  If Preview images are disabled in the Web Panel Column, the Close button will move down into the tab area.

- Added some code to make the Web Panel Preview Image generation code Yield a little to other processes.  The cursor was sometimes a little jerky during the preview image generation, this makes it smoother feeling.

Fixes

-  Error #438 in SinkArrayClass when loading a Word Doc file.  Status: Fixed.

- Error in WebBrowser_StatusTextChange after opening and closing several Web Panels. Status: Fixed.

- Captured more Script Error messages.  Some will still get by depending on how the web page is written.  Status: Fixed.

- Removed beep in Web Panel Preview Image Generation Code: there was a beep left in that should have been removed after debugging an old issue.  The beep only occurred when the browser was still busy and the Web Panel Preview Image Generation code was called.  Status: Fixed.

- Fixed Subscript Error when right-clicking in the Web Panel Preview Column below the open Web Panels.  Status: Fixed.

- Removed Web Panel Context Menu item (a context menu is the menu that open when you right-click on something) for Set Individual Reload Timer for this Web Panel.  Individual timer settings are not currently available, however they may be added in the future.

Known Issues

- When using the Image Download function of Mark Images for Download, or, when downloading patches and updates, you may receive errors at the end of large files.  This does not occur on all systems.  We're working on finding a solution.  If you're receiving this error while trying to download a patch, please see the Support Page.

Version 2.0.2

2/15/2002

Enhancements

- Added to PopUp Control: you can now specify a list of domains that PopUp Control will by pass and allow PopUps from.  This is handy for some sites that use scripts to log-in or scripts that open secondary windows to process information.  Enter the PopUp Control Bypass settings under PQBrowser Options.

- Added the ability to send a web page or link as e-mail.  PQBrowser contains it's own e-mail capability - enter the required information in PQBrowser Options.  Unlike IE, PQBrowser can e-mail a web page sub-frame from a frames page!

- Updated the Help File.

Fixes

- Fixed error that would stop the status bar from being updated for Web Panels other than the default Web Panel.  Error would occur after removing a Web Panel and then opening new Web Panels.

- Fixed error "Could not Add Web Browser Panel".  This error was triggered by a combination of the height of the browser and the width of the Web Browser Preview column and occurred on the first new Web Panel AFTER the scroll bars were turned on, usually after opening 6 to 9 panels.

- Fixed "Overflow" error in AdjustGrid Width.

- Fixed error that would cause some web pages not to load correctly.  These were usually pages that were loaded from scripts in a frames based web page. (Yes, this was on the 2.0.1 update, but we fixed it better this time!)

- The Toolbars could be turned off during some problems.  We used to save the toolbar settings when the program exited, we now only change the settings when you actually turn on or off a toolbar.  This should stop this problem.

- When closing the browser, we now navigate all open web panels to "about:blank" before shutting down.  This is simply a blank page.  This helps with some web sites that require a script to fire to log you out when leaving the web site.

- Fixed major bug that would crash IE5.5 if you browsed really fast between frames and non-frames pages, or if you just happened to initiate browsing to a different page at just the right instant while the current page was still loading.  This bug should have effected all versions of IE, but only 5.5 would cause the crash.

- Raw HTML on sub-frames is not available with IE5.5, it is with versions below IE5.5 or with IE6.  Fixed the Raw HTML in View Source to state this as opposed to the error message it was giving.

- The Progress Bar, both the main one in the Status Bar and the small one for each Web Panel was not always reflecting that the web page had finished loading on frames pages with IE5.5.  Fixed this, however we've noticed now that it shows some of this behavior with IE6.

- Mark Images for Download mode now correctly identifies text hyperlinks that link to image or multi-media files and prompt if you wish to add them to the download list.

Known Issues

- When using the Image Download function of Mark Images for Download, or, when downloading patches and updates, you may receive errors at the end of large files.  This does not occur on all systems.  We're working on finding a solution.  If you're receiving this error while trying to download a patch, please see the Support Page.

Version 2.0.1

2/1/2002

- Fixes the message box in the HotKey assignment dialog box being behind the dialog box and not able to come to the foreground.

- Fixes the problem that caused the last web panel preview not to be cleaned up correctly when exiting the slideshow mode when multiple web panels were open.

- Fixes the bug that would turn the web panel preview column back on when exiting the slideshow mode if the web panel preview was previously not being shown.

-  Fixed File Save Location error that would occur on 95 and NT when first running Slideshow or Batch Image Download.

-  Fixed error in SingleMode Auto-Mode that would cause the previous web page to be autoloaded instead of the current one.
